What is EYPP used for?
For eligible families, your childcare provider will get the EYPP payment paid to them.
They may use it for:
- extra equipment to help with learning
- toys, books and equipment
- one to one or small group sessions
- widening their life experiences.
Your childcare provider will be happy to share with you how they intend to spend this money.
Who can receive EYPP?
If you have Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) for up to 15 hours funded childcare, and you get at least one of the following:
- Income Support
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- support under part six of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit and not able to get Working Tax Credit, also have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190.
- Universal Credit and your household income is less than £7,400 a year after tax.This does not include any benefits you get.
- Your child is being looked after by a local authority or if your child has left care through adoption or other care order
